Las Vegas Good Sams

The Las Vegas Good Sams have been an active chapter since 1978. We are a mixed group of campers with some retirees and some still working, some families have kids and some don't, some families have pets (mainly dogs) and some don't, some are more active and some are less active. Some of our outings are as close as the lake and sometimes we go farther afield up to about 200 miles from LV. We do some camping in RV parks with hook-ups and some dry camping. Generally our group doesn’t do many structured activities, however, we like to explore and take advantage of what is available in the area where we are camping. We are pretty laid back and enjoy a campfire and visiting. Some of us have ATV’s, so a couple of outings a year we go where we can ride, either trail or sand. We meet the 3rd full weekend of every month. Families volunteer to be host for an outing and pick the location of the outing and the Saturday potluck theme. With our group, you can attend up to three outings as guests so you and the group can check out the "fit". During three outings you can generally see who we are, where we camp, and what we like to do. This group feels like a 2nd family to most of us. So whether you join a chapter just as incentive to get out and use your RV more often, or for the comradely of a group, or to try new places, we hope you will check us out.

Desert Vagabonds

Located in the Minden, Gardnerville, Carson City Area

The Desert Vagabonds Chapter are located in northern Nevada and was started in 1992. We currently have 21 member rigs, with the maximum number we can have set at 30 rigs. We schedule camp-outs each month from March thru October. We have a Christmas Lunch in December and then meet at a restaurant and have a meeting and enjoy visiting. At our camp-outs we play a variety of games and have a lot of good fellowship. We also sometimes go out to breakfast or lunch if we are close to a restaurant.

Copper Hills Sams

Located in the Yerington, NV Area

The Copper Hills Sams members are from the Reno/Sparks area. We camp once a month from April through October. Some members go together for other camping trips in winter and on long weekends. From Nov-Feb we meet on Sat for lunch. We camp in State parks, County parks, commercial RV camp grounds, National Forests, BLM land and on occasion, private land, even sharing a pasture with lambs.

Our members are located in the Las Vegas and Henderson area and get together for monthly outings to exchange information and ideas, participate in social events and promote the RV lifestyle. We also support several charitable organizations.

Swinging Sams

The Swinging Sams Chapter was chartered in Reno on June 25, 1974. The chapter founders were square dancers and the purpose of the chapter was "to travel, play, square dance and enjoy good companionship". The group danced in most towns around Reno with other dancing clubs. While the group no longer square dances, we continue to uphold the founders original ideals. There is fun, games, food and fellowship at monthly camp outs in the summer and luncheons in the winter. Membership is about 30 rigs of easy going, fun loving folks.

Pahrump Valley Dust Devils

The Pahrump Valley Dust Devils is a Nevada Good Sam Chapter located in the town of Pahrump in Nye County Nevada. We plan a camp-out each month except during the summer months. At each camp-out we play a lot of games including Horseshoe, Cribbage, Washers, Ladder Golf and Mexican Train. We also include a Chapter meeting at each outing.

Silver Sage Sams

The Silver Sage Sams have members scattered in Sparks, Reno, Carson City, Minden, Silver Springs, Fernley and Fallon. Come join us for fun, good food, games, crafts and the camaraderie of people who enjoy camping. We meet every second week end of the month.

Sierra Nevada Sams

The Sierra Nevada Sams have members from the Carson Valley (Minden, NV), though we have members from as far as 30+ miles away. From May to October we camp monthly from Tuesday to Friday the week that contains the first Wednesday.

Reno Renegades

The Reno Renegade Sams were chartered by the Good Sam Club in September 1987 and we have been going strong ever since. Our members range in age from the mid-fifties to a very young 83! We may have started as a group of Reno based RVers, but as we have grown older, we have expanded our horizons. Our members now reside in such diverse places as Sparks, Carson City, Dayton and even Truckee, CA.
