As a State Organization we shall maintain an attitude which is strictly non-partisan, non-sectional, non-sectarian, and non-racial and shall be dedicated to bringing together people interested in the ideals and principles of the International Good Sam Recreational Vehicle Club Objectives

To be, in general, a "fun" group with only enough business to maintain organization and reasonable discipline among its members.

The membership of this organization shall be open to any member in good standing of the International Good Sam Club residing within the boundaries of the State of Nevada. Any member of the International Good Sam Club in good standing shall be considered an ex-officio member of the Nevada Good Sam Club while visiting within the State of Nevada. Each membership shall consist of one or two adults and shall include dependent children living with them. Pursuant to the process as may from time to time be provided in the By-Laws of this organization, persons of notable interest, who are in sympathy with the purpose and objectives of this organization may have State Membership conferred on them by the State Executive Board.

We cooperate with all other recognized organizations which are working in the area of ecological awareness and to aid and promote the improvement of camping and traveling facilities wherever the need exists and to make recommendations to the proper agencies when the need occurs.

During the camping season, chapters normally meet once a month and activities vary.  Most chapters camp on week-ends; however, some also camp during the week.  Members often share a potluck meal, have a campfire, play games, tour local places of interest, have activities for children and grandchildren or just sit around and enjoy each others company.  In addition to local charities, Good Sam members support the Nevada Good Sam Organization “Nevada Cancer Institute” program.  Chapters often hold fund raising events for their charities.  Check out our Chapter page for more detailed information & a chapter near you.

Nevada Good Sam OrganizationText Box: WHY JOIN A CHAPTER

The Good Sam Club got its start 40 years ago when a handful of RVers put Good Samaritan bumper stickers on their rigs so fellow members would know they could get help on the road. From this small Club we grew. In the early days, Good Sam Members spread the word at RV parks and other Club events. Soon everyone wanted to know how to get a Good Sam "smiling face" decal.

You should belong to a local chapter for the fun, fellowship, games, travel, eating, craft, love of the outdoors, camping, etc. A chapter is made up of a varying number of rigs. The individual chapter decides on the number. Chapters support each other by having monthly campouts, or during winter months, having dinner meetings. They camp together and support each other when there are problems. Local chapters have vests in their chapter colors, patches, etc. The more who are involved, the more things you can do. Most all the chapters support local charities.
